Chelly did a fantastic job on me. I have female pattern alopecia and have been increasingly depressed whenever I look in the mirror or see photos of me. Getting SMP had made a *significant* difference in my appearance - my husband even noticed. If you're a woman and have alopecia, don't walk but run to Chelly. Side note: Chase and Chelly are both very personable, professional and made me feel right at home. The look of their website with the realistic before/after photos helped get me there initially. Chase and his team are professional, reliable, affordable and take pride in what they do. I was really nervous at first coming to my appointment because i had no clue what was going to happen. When i first walked in chase and michelle immediately greeted themselves and started a conversation which made me feel automatically comfortable and i can honestly say im glad i made appointment with them they’re very professional and great at there job (: . I finally realized that my hair was not growing back after failed attempts using Rogaine, finasteride and other hair products. I felt too young to go bald and randomly thought about ways to cover my scalp up. After googling things I realized that scalp micropigmentation was actually a thing. So I started searching in Austin and finally came to SMP of Austin. I am so thankful that I went through the process. I was really anxious about cutting my hair and revealing the big bald spot but going straight into SMP eased my anxiety. The team there are phenomenal. They are transparent. They explain everything and they are very passionate and compassionate with what they do. They care about you, listen and are easily accessible in between sessions. These are down to earth folks! Also they are internationally certified in SMP 😎 This is the most affordable place in Austin. So what was scalp micropigmentation like? It is like needles poking into your scalp and injecting dye. It doesn’t hurt too bad but I would wait 2 weeks in between sessions if you can and take ibuprofen afterwards. It took about 3 sessions to notice the difference but the difference and improvement hit me in a very pleasant way. Hang in there through the process! First two sessions may not be a major difference yet. People love my new style and I think it looks really sharp for a night out or professionally. I’m grateful to SMP and will never forget them!
